Full sun, driving rain, dead batteries on the trailer, a coach 100 metres away — the RPX 440 was engineered for the days that decide seasons.
Display
Readable at 6 AM. Readable at high noon.
The industry-leading 4.4″ Memory In Pixel display gets clearer in direct sunlight — no washout, no glare, no squinting mid-piece. A custom-engineered backlight covers the dark end: pre-dawn water and late-night erg bays.

Precision
GPS that resolves the stroke, not just the piece.
Race-ready 10 Hz GPS samples ten times a second — accurate splits on every single stroke, not the multi-stroke average a phone app gives you. Program custom workouts on-device and store 50 hours of sessions. No phone can match it.
CrewNet telemetry
Your numbers, live in the launch.
Every RPX streams rate, splits, and stroke data to the coach boat over CrewNet wireless — real-time and low-latency, local to the water, with no smartphone and no subscription required. Coaches push workouts, program pieces remotely, and control devices without pulling alongside — 50 m and beyond, or 150 m+ with Long Range Repeaters. Need the whole lake? Pair a smartphone and you get unlimited range over cellular (subscription required).

Floating and waterproof
Drop it in the lake.
It comes back up.
Sealed against rain, spray, and the wash-down at the end of practice — the USB-C port included. And if the 440 ever goes over the side, it floats: no dive, no lost unit, no replacement to buy.
